Advocates for Animals is one of the UK's leading animal
protection organizations, campaigning against all animal
abuse. Advocates opposes the use of animals in experiments,
entertainment and factory farming - systems that treat
animals as mere commodities rather than sentient, social,
intelligent creatures that are capable of great suffering.

The Animal Protection Institute (API) is a national animal
advocacy nonprofit 501(c)(3) organization, contributions to
which are tax-deductible. Founded in 1968, API's mission is
to advocate for the protection of animals from cruelty and
exploitation.
Associated Humane Societies and
Popcorn Park Zoo
AHS in New Jersey provides food, shelter, medical care and
love to the lost, abandoned, neglected and abused since
1906. They also operate Popcorn Park Zoo, a refuge for
abused, elderly, handicapped, exploited and sick wildlife,
birds, exotic and farm animals from all over the United
States.

of national parks, is home, on any given day, to about 1,500

Connecticut Waterfowl Trust
The Connecticut Waterfowl Trust (CWT), also known as The
Sanctuary, had its beginnings in 1990 when Kem Appell gave
his wife, Julia, a birthday gift of two black swans for
their backyard pond. Kem’s casual interest quickly became a
passionate one. Today, their four-acre residential property
is the largest waterfowl sanctuary in New England and one of
the largest aviaries in North America.

tax-exempt, educational organization advocating a
plant-based diet and humane treatment of farmed animals
through a variety of grassroots programs.
The House Rabbit
Connection Inc. (HRC) of Massachusetts and Connecticut
Rabbits are a growing pet population in the United States;
however, many people who purchase rabbits do not know the
time and training involved in having a great pet. The House
Rabbit Connection, Inc. is non-profit organization that is
committed to changing this. Donations and volunteers are a
critical part of the organization.
The Humane Society of the United States (HSUS)
The HSUS is dedicated to creating a world where our
relationship with animals is guided by compassion. They seek
a truly humane society in which animals are respected for
their intrinsic value, and where the human-animal bond is
strong.
Livingston Ripley Waterfowl
Conservancy
A highly functional infrastructure of fencing, pools, and
buildings, as well as opportunities for continued growth,
make the captive waterfowl facility an important facet of
the LRWC program. Waterfowl are housed in a variety of
enclosures that are tailored to the specific needs of the
each species. Ducks and smaller species of geese are
maintained in netted aviaries to prevent avian predation,
while large geese and swans are maintained in an extensive
network of open enclosures.

Waterfowl Conservancy (LRWC) is dedicated to the protection
of waterfowl and wetland habitats through research,
education and conservation action.

Nevins Farm
(Massachusetts Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to
Animals (MSPCA)
Located on more than 55 acres of rolling pasture in Methuen,
Mass., Nevins Farm is a haven for an ever-changing
assortment of pigs, ducks, sheep, geese, cows, goats, and
more — as well as horses. Farm programs include
rehabilitation and adoption of all kinds of farm animals,
equine-rescue services, and humane-education workshops.
Pet Rock Annual
Festival
The mission of the Pet Rock Festival is to provide a venue
where animal welfare organizations of all kinds (from those
that fight to prevent cruelty in the courts to shelters to
rescues to rehabilitation programs) can gather to fuse an
even tighter network, and to also get the word out about
their programs to the public. Planning and preparation is
currently underway for Pet Rock 2005.
TARA (Teaching Animals
with Respect and Affection)
TARA Training and Behavior LLC seeks to promote the unity,
harmony, and understanding between people and their
companion animals. Through education, empathy, and knowledge
of sound learning theory and behavior modification
principles, TARA Training and Behavior LLC seeks to create
relationships with companion animals based on MUTUAL TRUST
AND RESPECT.
United Poultry Concerns
UPC is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization incorporated in
Maryland dedicated to the compassionate and respectful
treatment of domestic fowl.
World Society for the Protection of Animals
WSPA works with more than 485 member organizations to raise
the standards of animal welfare throughout the world. Their
vision is a world in which the welfare of animals is
understood and respected by everyone, and protected by
effective legislation.
