Majestic Diary

May 8, 2008

Today was a very difficult day. Today was the day we adopted out Tutter, Angelo, Bindy and Tova to a wonderful new family.

Although there is nothing more satisfying than finding new homes for these beloved companions of ours, there are few things more difficult to do.

It was especially difficult to let my dear Tutter-Tut go. After all the time and love nursing him back to health when he couldn't walk... the bond between us has always been so strong and getting him on his feet again just furthered our endearment.

And then... I let him go... into the arms of a new Mother Goose. They were really wonderful and called me to let me know that they were all doing well and were resting comfortably in the barn. They also invited us out to visit any time, which I will definitely be doing.

Of course updating the website and moving them from "adoptable" to "adopted" brought on more tears and then taking them down from Petfinder... all brought on more tears. Tony came home and saw me and thought I was upset about losing my job yesterday.

I said, "I don't care about my job; I miss Tutter-Tut..."

And he gave me a big hug and kiss and said, "I know. That's how I felt when we adopted out Joseph."
