Matched $1 For $1 Fundraiser December 9th - 12th!

Eeben Gets Adopted!
After treating Eeben's ankle arthritis for 12 weeks and seeing a big improvement, we still decided that our sanctuary enclosures were just too much work for him. In order to keep him on his feet and walking for as long as possible, we thought it best for him to go into an indoor situation where he will have mini trips outside onto splash pads, kiddy pools and fenced in grassy areas, but for the most part will be on nice soft carpeting and blankies.
While it was difficult to let this big hug-a-bunch go after seven and a half years, we always aim to do what's best for our rescues. On Saturday, we made the roadtrip to bring this human-imprinted lovebug to his new home where he met his new brother and two new lady friends--oh boy!
But what about Airline Ellie? She will be staying with us for the time being, but the family is planning to adopt her next year (hopefully in spring) as soon as they have a little more room for her. A grand reunion is already being planned for these two lovebirds (in the meantime, we are doting over Ellie and sneaking her lots of lettuce treats!).
Special thanks to Wizard of Paws, Kensington Bird & Animal Hospital and all of Eeben's loving donors for keeping him in the manner he's accustomed to! And of course, amazing gratitude to his most loving new family who are doing a great job taking over all of Eeben's special care.

A Quck Pill Cutting Trick!
Those of you who use Rimbadyl (brand name carprofen) might know it's on backorder and difficult to acquire at present time (which is not uncommon for this brand). If you are using another brand and finding the caplets do not cut as well with a pill cutter and often crumble, our vet tech had a little trick they shared with us: Try using sharp cat nail clippers instead!
